Graham Bonomy B.Acc, C.A
STAFF PARTNER/AUDIT PARTNER
Graham is WDM’s only ICAS qualified partner, therefore his knowledge on nearly everything to do with accounts and taxation is vast. Motherwell through and through, Graham started with WDM back in 1992 and became a partner in 2000. Given his 30 years of experience he has built up a great understanding of how most clients operate. Apart from this knowledge base, Grahams biggest quality is his personal relationships with his clients. These have been built up through many a night out and also a round of golf at Gleneagles where Graham does most of his entertaining. Graham is very approachable to all members of staff and his door is always open if anyone has a problem.
Karen Charnley F.C.C.A
AUDIT PARTNER
Karen joined WDM in 1994 and progressed to partner in March 2001.
Karen has much experience in assisting and supporting clients with buying and selling their businesses, covering both the commercial and technical tax aspects.
Her client base covers all areas of industry, and her knowledge of the various accounting packages assists clients in running their businesses as efficiently as possible.
Married David in 1988 and they have one son, Fraser.
Karen is a keen golfer, and holidays in Florida will invariably include some rounds of golf with her husband, David.
She also provides much support for the St Andrew’s Hospice and is part of the team who organise the very successful annual Ladies Lunch.
Dawn White B.Acc, F.C.C.A
audit PARTNER
Employed by WDM as an accountant in 2006. Been a partner with WDM since May 2008. Dawn is FCCA qualified
Dawn is responsible for all charity audits and specialises in monthly monitoring of clients, accounts preparation, audits and all taxation. Her clients are in all industry sectors, including charities, construction, manufacturing, retail, etc
Dawn has excellent knowledge of SAGE Line 50 and SAGE Line 200, and is considered an expert in this field.
Dawn lives in Kilmarnock with husband Robert, married in 1998
Dawn loves her holidays especially the road trips to Europe in her sports car. She loves going to Las Vegas, although she is not a gambler!!!
Craig Gibson A.C.C.A
PARTNER
Craig is our newest and youngest partner.
Craig trained with the firm becoming a partner in 2015.
He looks after a wide variety of clients with particular expertise in the construction and leisure sectors.
Despite being a past Lanarkshire champion golfer Craig is now rarely seen on the golf course spending most of his ‘free’ time ferrying his 2 children to and fro.
Craig is not easily flustered and is very much the man if succinct, clear advice is needed.
Accounts & Audits
Lynn Turner
Having previously worked with two CA firms in Glasgow, Lynn joined WDM in 1991.
As well as having over 30 years extensive experience in the accountancy world, Lynn also successfully gained her AAT qualification in 1999 whilst working with WDM.
Lynn is our resident expert in personal tax (which makes to a very busy January).
As well as having an active family life, Lynn enjoys travelling and socialising with friends.
Linzi Smith
Linzi joined us in 2006 from a large chain of restaurants where she was PA to the Managing Director for 15 years. Linzi has a wealth of experience and knowledge in Human Resources, SAGE accounting, payroll, administration and management accounts. Linzi enjoys long walks with her dog and spending time with her friends and family. Living in a house full of males, Linzi is one of the few women who can explain the offside rule!
Corrie Riddell
Qualified by over 32 years’ experience, Corrie previously worked for two CA firms for a total of 18 years before joining WDM in February 2008. Corrie has quickly proven herself to be a fantastic all-rounder with knowledge across a wide range of business sectors and a great understanding of Sage. Married with two children, Corrie is manager of a community football team and enjoys socializing with friends & family.
Jack Andrews
Jack is a Trainee Accountant having joined WDM in 2013 and is currently working towards his ACCA qualification. He has 9 years’ experience in preparing annual accounts for sole trader, partnerships and limited companies as well as assisting clients with bookkeeping, preparing vat returns, management accounts, self-assessment and Audits.
Jack is our go to IT guy and is always a phone call away with any technical issues we have. In his spare time Jack enjoys playing Rugby and socialising with family and friends.
Sophia Tarik
Sophia joint WDM in 2020. She has 6 years of experience working on preparation of Accounts and VAT returns for Limited Companies, Individuals and Partnerships.
Currently studying to become a Chartered Accountant (ACCA) with only 2 exams left. She is highly experienced in using Xero software as well as proficient in sage.
She is currently expanding to assisting on audits as well working on self-assessments.
Sophia spends her free time socialising with friends and family engaging in activities such as hillwalking and going to the cinema.
Deirdre McGregor
Deirdre has been with WDM for just over 6 years and works as a bookkeeper and provides
payroll cover also. She is married and enjoys travelling with her husband to their favourite place, sunny Fuerteventura!
She also enjoys regular trips back to her hometown in Northern Ireland to spend time with family & friends.
Deirdre enjoys outdoor walks with her dog Kenzi and loves to keep fit and active!
Lorraine Shaw
Lorraine has worked in practice for over 12 years and has been part of the WDM team for the last 3 years, though Lorraine has no formal qualification, she has gained a vast amount of knowledge and experience over these years.
Lorraine enjoys spending time with family, waking her dogs, cycling and if she has time reading books.
Ross Kennedy
Ross is an accounts senior with 9 years of experience in preparing annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and self-assessment tax returns. In his spare time Ross enjoys watching football, hiking and going for walks with his dogs.
Payroll
Danielle Hutchison
Danielle has worked at WDM for just over 2 years and is the youngest in the office. She has 2 beautiful young children who she loves taking on days out but also enjoys a child free night. Danielle works in payroll but is also the face behind our Facebook page and website. She is good fun and her one liner’s have us laughing all the time.
Gayle Gibson
Gayle has worked with WDM for 6 years and works within the Payroll Team. Gayle is a respected member of staff and is liked by us all.
Gayle loves nothing better than spending time with her husband, children, family, and friends. She loves going on days out with the children, loves going on a holiday or 3 or 4 a year. Gayle also likes to keep fit and go to the gym.
Gayle is the very down to earth, helpful and will always go that extra mile to help you.
Denise Redmond
Denise is part of our extensive payroll team and has been since February 2020. Her expertise isn’t only in payroll, she is also the office’s party planner. Any event coming up Denise already has the night out sorted for it. She is also a mum to a handsome young boy. Denise loves nothing more than getting away to somewhere by the sea, in brand new pyjamas and a glass of prosecco in hand. If you ever have a payroll query Denise will always be happy to help.
Administration
Leanne Park
Leanne is the newest member of our team and has been with WDM for 7 months. In that time she has fitted in well, so much so that it feels like she’s been with WDM for years! She is married and has a daughter who recently got engaged. In her spare time Leanne enjoys spending time with her family, organising get togethers with friends and getting out in the great outdoors for long walks with her dog Teddy.
